Cantaloupe

Dear Bump,

You are currently kicking me so I’m guessing your little ears are burning and you know I’m talking about you.
Over the past few weeks these kicks and wiggles have increased for me, but every time I quickly grab your Dad’s hand you suddenly stop.
I think I will have to be a bit sneakier in the hand grabbing as he is desperate to feel you move.

As you have grown to the size of a cantaloupe you have also made me grow….well pretty much all over. That is right (not so little anymore) bump, your Mum is turning into a weeble.
If you could stop the craving for sour skittles I think that would seriously help me out.

Walks are now a huge way of life for your Dad and I.
Just today we went to the canal in the rain just so I could release a bit of this hip ache. Yet the whole walk we were talking about all the places we want to take you and where your first walk will be.

Just to keep you updated your little room is just a few short weeks away.
Which finally means we can start to ‘nest’.
Seeing as you have creative, arty some say hippy like parents we cannot wait to get our mitts on your room, the whole house for that matter. We hope you love it as much as we do.

We are now just over 3months away from meeting you Melon Ball.
Even though things are calming down elsewhere around us, the excitement of you I don’t think will ever die down.

Artichoke

Dear Bump,

I can't believe i'm saying this but we are over half way!
20 weeks and cooking nicely.
We got to see you again on my 27th birthday and we couldn't believe how much you have grown.
You have gone from the size of an avocado to the size of an artichoke in just 8 weeks.
We also had the option to find out if you are a little boy or little girl....the question on everyone's lips since has been 'well...what are you having?'

Who knows.

We are going to see you a few more times than 'normal' though just to make sure things continue to run smoothly due to my rubbish, sticky and down right inconvenient condition.
But hey, it means a few more photos for your baby book.

In the past few days I have started to feel move more and more.
These little flutters in my tummy letting me know that you are awake and have a wiggle.

Things are starting to fall into place with your new home.
Paper work is being processed.
Signatures being scribbled left, right and centre.
However throughout the stress' and strains of buying this house, the thought of making it comfy and cosy for your arrival makes it all worth while.

Keep on growing little artichoke.
4 more months and we finally get to meet you.

Avocado

Dear Bump,

16 weeks we have now been growing and learning together.
You how to wiggle, blink and developing to the size of an avocado.
Me...well just generally growing, you are turning in to quite the bump.

We have finally seen you in your first scan, and of course because I have turned into a blubbering mess these past few months, I obviously cried.
With all your little movements on the screen those happy tears turned into giggles, which made you flip over like a little jumping bean.
With every laugh another rotation so I have to say sorry for all the flips and turns on our first encounter.

Your little face has already developed and even in blurry black and white you are the cutest thing your Dad and I have ever seen.

The peeing and the headaches remain, but thankfully the sickness has stopped which I can't deny is a huge relief.

We are still wondering whether to find out if you are a little boy or a little girl.
Do we keep you as a surprise?
Do we find out so we can come up with a few names for you to choose from?
Who knows.

But what we do know is we can't wait to see you again at your 20 week scan.
To see how our little avocado will have grown even more into the little bundle we can't wait to meet.

Stay warm.
Stay comfy.
And perhaps in a few weeks I'll finally feel you wriggle.

Blueberry

Dear Bump,

You have turned my life upside down, yet you are only 7 weeks old and the size of a blueberry.
The sleepless nights. The constant need to pee. The never ending hungover feeling. The pressure throbbing headaches.
The nauseous vibe that is hard to shift.
Not to mention the overwhelming need to constantly graze.
We are still waiting to take you for your first scan, and to even hear your heartbeat.
However the love we already feel for you tiny blueberry is like nothing we have ever felt before.

I never thought in my wildest dreams you would appear in my tummy.
Not because you weren't wanted, but because of a sticky nuisance of an illness called endometriosis.
I was told at nineteen that I would need help to even see if it was possible to have you in my life.
So after weeks of not feeling myself and completely questioning what was wrong in my head, to see that little plus sign filled my life with the brightest of lights in an extremely dark time, and for that I can't thank or love you more.

I will do everything I can to keep you safe and warm until you are ready to see your daddy and I in this strange world. But until then
Continue to develop
Continue to grow
Continually knowing how much you are loved, cherished and what an amazing miracle you are tiny blueberry.

Flash Your Yellow Stitches

Dr. Martens’ are a staple of Mine and Beardy's wardrobe.

Comfortable and quirky these statement pieces are always on our feet.

Nearly every shopping trip we end up in our local store to see what they have recently added for us to dream of wearing one day. With the classic yellow stitching and wide range of 'Originals' all the way to the new line featuring the incredible 'Adventure Time' brand, there is something to suite every foot.

They not onlyenhance our own individual style but help share a united spirit that Dr Marten's stands for:

A proud sense of self- expression.

And

People who are different....Well if the shoe fits.

The simple silhouette allows any wearer to adopt the boots and shoes as part of their own individual style.

Famous for their durability and comfort Dr Marten's are ideal for the world of work, gigs and street fashion, but on a more personal and somewhat emotional note, they are a badge of attitude, empowerment and style that is very close to our hearts.
