Cambodia Siem Reap Night Market

The Cambodian Night Market has fastly become our favourite night out hot spot.
The atmosphere at this place is just buzzing, from the incredible artistic stalls to the fantastic Island Bar.
Anyone looking for a bargain, this is the place to be. The skill and beauty that goes into some of the artwork and sculptures here is just breathtaking. Obviously like most markets you do get the odd 'tat', but trust us, 99% of the stalls are awesome.

You have two entrances, Entrance A and Entrance B...big neon signs, you can't miss them.

Entrance A is where you will find the fantastic Island Bar. Friendly staff, amazing cocktails and the music...well let's just say the 80's and 90's are back!

Entrance B will take you through to more of the smaller stalls.

Don't be fooled by the copy cat markets near by, the way you'll know is by the signs that are shaped like a carrier bag.

Top Tips

▪️Take small dollar ($) bills with you. Most stalls only accept dollars. We have found they are reluctant to take Riel, strange we know, but it's a value thing.

▪️Don't be afraid to haggle. They expect you to do it and to be honest, you can get some great deals. So go on, be a little cheeky.

▪️Learn to say NO! Every stall has a different way of selling, but most will say 'Hello Sir, Hello Lady, what do you want to buy'. Now obviously don't be rude, just smile, say 'no thanks' and keep on walking. Unless you obviously see something you like then haggle away my friend.

▪️Tuk Tuks, as great as they are, don't be afraid to walk away if you don't like the price. They are everywhere and they will normally push their luck with the first price. If needs be walk a little. If you say no and start walking they 9 times out of 10 offer you the price you want. It's a confidence thing, know your price and stick to it. Use those haggling skills.

This market truly is a must when visiting Cambodia.
